On censored nudes in Italy:
I've read a few different articles about #boxgate now, and come away feeling that when we censor even historical artifacts out of some misplaced sense of courtesy, we engage in a sort of dishonesty that does not serve to progress social discourse. These statues were only censored to ensure favorable attitudes toward valuable trade agreements #becausecapitalism
However, I think there is something interesting about this image of the censored statues.
